I like this one for dogs, its is a nice size and great for any size dog. Of course the bigger the dog, you will have to fill it more often. I like that it has a auto shut off. If the lights go red, that is a sign that it needs to be refilled. Once refilled it will start up again. The button on the bottom that lets you choose if you want a regular flow or a fancy flow is really easy to push. This water fountain comes with 3 filters! As well, it has 4 filtering cycles, and 3 ways to have the filter run, water flow frequency: water flows continuously, 30sec with 30min pause intervals, or 1-10sec with 1-10sec pause intervals. Really easy to put together as well as take apart, for easy cleaning. The motor is quiet so if you have a nervous pet, they will not be scared of it. You can use bottle or tap water in this, but I think if you wanted to extend the life of the motor, bottle water or filtered water would be a better choice.
